Your Role...

Database Developer duties and responsibilities:

* Develop ETL processes.
* Develop new database systems and expose reporting functionalities.
* Continual development and management of database infrastructure.
* Maintenance of existing systems and reports.
* Gather business requirements for designing and creating new systems or reports.

Your Profile...

* 1+ year of relevant work experience with SQL.
* 3+ years of development experience.
* Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 and SSIS.
* Understanding of database design including modern data warehousing techniques.
* Familiar with source control and versioning.
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server.
* .Net development experience, preferably with C#
* Experience with Active directory security.
* Comfortable with end-user support (as it’s a large part of the role).
* Prefer a candidate who also has experience with:
o Excel development
o VBA or VB development
o SQL Server Reporting Services
o MySQL
o Linux
o Analysis Services
o Microsoft Visual Studio Team Server
o SVN
o SCRUM
* Flexible, proactive and hands-on mentality who is able to work independently in a team setting.
* Excellent English communication skills - both written and spoken.
* University Degree or relevant IT qualifications.
* The employer requires that all applicants have permission to work in The Netherlands/Europe or qualify for the Working Holiday visa (Australian, New Zealand or Canadian citizens only).

Candidates who move to The Netherlands to accept this role will qualify for the 30% tax free ruling - saving them substantial income tax for up to 10 years.
